Single-Hung Windows

For single-hung windows, to open and close the window, you slide the bottom sash up and down. The top sash is fixed, allowing light to enter but not airflow. Because single-hung windows open vertically, they do not protrude out and obstruct patio or walkway space.

Double-Hung Windows

With double-hung windows, the top and bottom sash are operational and operate vertically like a single hung. They are a great choice if used on the second story of a building because the sashes tilt inward, allowing you to safely and efficiently clean the glass.

Horizontal Slider Windows

Horizontal Sliders are single-frame windows that allow one or both sashes to slide past either to the left or right. Sliders are a great option if you are considering larger window sizes for your home.

Casement Windows

Hinged on either side, the sash opens outward by rotating a crank-style handle. They offer maximum ventilation because they fully open like a door.

Awning Windows

Awning windows open from the bottom and swing outward, allowing air to flow into the home even during a soft rain. They are often used in combination with other window styles or placed higher on walls for privacy.

Picture Windows

These windows are stationary and do not open. This makes them more energy efficient and allows more daylight to enter. They are often combined with other styles of windows to maximize your view.

Architectural Shapes Windows

SunBelt offers an excellent variety of profiles and sizes. Shapes (often referred to as “Specialty”) windows let you choose from numerous designs and shapes to compliment your home’s architecture. Be sure to ask SunBelt to show you the choices and give you a free estimate.

Laminated Glass

Being that Florida is known as the Sunshine State, your replacement windows need to possess a Low-E coating to reflect unwanted solar heat. This is done by placing a non-laminated glass on your exterior and a laminated glass on your interior, which allows visible sunlight to enter but reflects heat and ultraviolet radiation. Between the two layers of glass, there is a Low-E glass coating, argon gas fill, and Poly Vinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayer that provides extra protection for the windows and home. Argon gas is an essential component that helps slow the transfer of heat or cold into your home. Additional benefits of replacement windows include:

  • Reduction of heat transfer in your home

  • The laminated glass blocks 99.7% of ultraviolet rays

  • Protection for fading of floors and furniture

  • Comfortable home temperatures year-round

  • Decrease in monthly energy costs

  • Reduction of outside noise from entering the home
